Western India tea Dealer Association (WITDA) established in the year 1989, where is an association of leading Tea traders of western India having vast membership from Gujarat, Maharashtra & Rajashthan, and all three states annual tea consumption is more than approx, 235 million kgs.

The membership is represented by various sections of tea trade like retailers, Packeters, wholersalers and brokers. Some of the reputed members are:

WITDA was established under the able leadership of Shri Piyushbhai Desai (Chairman of Wagh Bakri Tea Group and Ex-Chairman of Federation of All India Tea Traders Association) with an object of developing good trade practices and spread knowledge amongst various Tea traders of different parts of Western India and to safe guard interest of such traders. Till now WITDA has taken up and successfully solved various

complicated trade related issues. WITDA took part along with other associations to bring rates of local Sales Tax at fair level, Implementation of Tea Marketing Control Order 2003 as well as rates of VAT, etc.. The association has arranged Study Circles, seminars and conference not only on Tea, but also on various subjects like Economic Policies, Marketing, Insurance, Taxation and Banking
